DE Mohr Added To Practice Squad
July 20, 2006 As part of the NFL's International Development Practice Squad program, the Eagles signed defensive end Christian Mohr to the practice squad for the 2006 season. A three-year veteran of NFL Europe, Mohr (6-6, 265) earned All-NFLEL honors for the second time in 2006 after leading the Berlin Thunder in sacks for the second consecutive season (4.5 in 2006, 4 in 2005). For his career, Mohr has recorded 52 tackles, nine sacks, and four forced fumbles.
He spent the 2004 season on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad after winning World Bowl XII with Berlin.
The 26-year-old Mohr played amateur football with the Dusseldorf Panthers from 2001-2004, earning defensive player of the year honors in 2002. He also spent time with Aachen Demons from 1999-2000 and was named defensive player of the year in his final season with the team.
The Aachen, Germany, native attended Sporthochschule College in Koln, Germany.
