[a href="[ "][[/a]/url] A Look Inside Brian Westbrook's LockerOn what the locker means to him: "In this whole big building, players don't really have any space. Your only private space is right here in the locker. It's your little piece of home, you're little sanctuary. You're little place where you could read a good book. Most of the time when I come in in the morning I read the Bible real quick. "It's your little place where you can think without too many people bothering you. It's also my podium for when the media comes around for interviews. "Some guys keep their locker really neat, but mine isn't too neat. I try to keep it neat, but everybody is always throwing stuff in here shirts and mail, there's always something I'm just throwing in here. I'm trying to keep it neat, but it's not working too well. I'm organized at home, but it's so hard here because this space is so small and you have to try to cram so much in it. It's tough." On the framed certificate from the NFL on his one shelf: "The certificate is for the first Special Teams Player of the Week award that I got from the NFL. It was for the 84-yard game-winning punt return against the Giants last season. It was a big game for us, almost like a turning point for our season. A lot of guys pitched in on that. After that, we went on a nice run and advanced to the playoffs. "It was definitely meaningful for not only me, but other guys on the special teams and other guys on the team." On the football on his shelf: "This is a ball that I got this year after we played the Giants on the road. This was one of the game balls that Coach Reid and the team gave out. It's just another reminder that the team appreciates the things that you've done. "Sometimes it's hard because you have so many things that are going on, but when you sit down and think about it, those game balls and certificates are reminders that you're appreciated in some way, shape or form." On the Special Teams hat: "Actually, that's the hat I wear every day. Special teams coordinator John Harbaugh gave that to us when I was primarily playing on special teams. The word 'Teams 1' means that we were the No. 1 special teams in the NFL. That's the thing that makes you happy, being a part of a team, a unit that was ranked the best out of 32 teams."
