Update: King signed a contract for 2006 with the Colts, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation: This could be a sign that Jim Sorgi's throwing arm injury is worse than the Colts are leading on. He'll compete with Sorgi and rookie Josh Betts to back up Peyton Manning. The Colts haven't had a third QB on the roster in the past few seasons, but it looks like they may this year.

King is a wash. He'll never see the field behind Manning.

I agree. Its just a guaranteed check for him. He'll never play during the regular season unless the Colts are blowing someone out late in the game.
