Terrell Owens: No Decision Regarding Training Camp RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Monday, July 11, 2005
Update: Owens indicated at a charity event Sunday no decision has been made on whether to report to training camp if the Eagles continue to refuse to discuss his contract, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Recommendation: "Wait until July 29th," said Owens, referring to the date when rookies and select veterans are scheduled to report. Most veterans - including Owens, an Eagles spokesman said - are scheduled to report Aug. 1. As with the charity weekend in Atlanta, an Owens publicist would not allow reporters to ask T.O. about his contract or his dispute with the team. The publicist said Owens and Donovan McNabb have not been able to coordinate their schedules to work on pass patterns, something McNabb had said he was hoping to do before Lehigh. If Owens does not make it to the passing camp with McNabb then we know the relationship between the two is strained. Owens also mentioned that the ankle he injured last season is 90% recovered and said if the contract issue were resolved, he would be physically ready for training camp.
