Corey Simon: Ravens Interested RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Monday, April 4, 2005
Update: Philadelphia has been contacted by several teams regarding Simon but the Ravens' have a deal on the table that may interest the Eagles the most, according to FOXSports.com.
Recommendation: The Ravens and Eagles have recently discussed a deal that would send the former Pro Bowl defensive tackle to the Ravens in exchange for second and third-round draft picks over the next two years. There is, however, a huge holdup as the deal is contingent upon Baltimore working out a contract extension with Simon. In order for the trade to happen, the Ravens have to come to an agreement with Simon within the next day or two, as both teams do not want this situation to linger. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome denied that any deal is in place. There have been rumors that the Eagles would take a defensive lineman in the first round of the NFL draft, so the deal would make sense. Simon would make $5.13 million this season if the trade were to fall through.
