Travis Henry: Eagles in Mix? RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Friday, April 15, 2005
Update: The Bills have contacted the Eagles about a possible trade that would send Henry to Philadelphia, FOXSports.com reports.
Recommendation: Philadelphia appears to be interested, but if Henry does not lessen his contract demands the deal will never happen. The Eagles would like to add a running back to go along with Brian Westbrook, but will only be willing to give up a third or fourth round pick at the most. If the deal were to go through, Henry would be in a similar situation as he has with Buffalo -- backing up a starter -- though there might be more packages available where he sees the field more.

Eagles: Philly throws hat in Henry ring by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Saturday, April 16, 2005
News The Eagles are at least somewhat interested in trading for disgruntled Bills running back Travis Henry, league sources confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Views Henry could be viewed as a replacement to Brian Westbrook, who did not receive an offer sheet during free agency and now must sign the Eagles' offer sheet if he wants to play this season. The Buccaneers and Cardinals have also been mentioned in trade rumors regarding Henry.

Never would have worked. Guys like him and Shaun Alexander thrive on being "the featured back" - not going to happen in this offense.
It'll be interesting to see what the Eagles are going to do to address the RB position. And with Westbrook griping, they might have to look beyond the 2005 season.
