Eagles: Mitchell likely to be released by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Monday, April 25, 2005 News Eagles' head coach Andy Reid declined to confirm the rumors that the team will release wide receiver Freddie Mitchell before minicamp opens this weekend. However, Reid didn't say whether Mitchell will be in attendance at the minicamp. "We'll see," Reid told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We'll see how things go. It would be great for you guys." Mitchell logged 22 receptions for 377 yards and two touchdowns. Views Freddie led the league in stupid comments last season, even going so far as to criticize quarterback Donovan McNabb for not getting him the ball. Reid is a no nonsense coach who is unlikely to tolerate such behavior any longer than he has to. By adding wide receiver Reggie Brown in the second round of the draft, Reid may have already filled Mitchell's spot on the roster. Updated on Monday, Apr 25, 2005 1:38 pm EDT
