Eagles: McNabb and Owens bury the hatchet by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com Monday, June 20, 2005
News Donovan McNabb and teammate Terrell Owens are no longer butting heads, at least according to the Eagles' quarterback. "I talked to him after the first minicamp (early May)," McNabb told Sunday's Philadelphia Inquirer. "We communicated and put everything in the air. I'm fine. We dealt with things, and I'm looking forward to getting out there with him." McNabb added that Owens apologized for claiming that the signal caller was tired during the final minutes of the Super Bowl back in February.
Views McNabb and Owens might be on good terms, but the real issue is whether the Eagles' front office can make peace with the veteran wide receiver before training camp opens next month. Owens has boycotted the team's offseason workouts in protest of the seven-year contract he signed prior to last season. Although he has not directly vowed to extend his holdout into training camp, he has not ruled out that possibility either.
